Allegiance Communications
Allegiance Communications is an American provider of cable TV, broadband Internet, and VOIP telephony services to rural and mid-size markets in Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, and Texas. Allegiance Communications corporate headquarters are located in Shawnee, Oklahoma, with a basic subscriber base of more than 40,000 customers.
==History==
Beginning in 2004 as a unit of The Wicks Group, Allegiance acquired small cable systems and subscribers in Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma and Texas. The company bought a large group of systems totaling 29,000 subscribers from Charter Communications in 2006.〔
On January 16, 2013 BCI Broadband and Allegiance Communications announced an agreement under which a newly formed subsidiary of BCI will acquire Allegiance in a transaction expected to close early in 2013. The announcement also marks the origination of a partnership between BCI's management and BBH Capital Partners (BBHCP), a private equity fund sponsored by Brown Brothers Harriman & Co., one of the nation's oldest and best-regarded financial institutions.
BCI is a newly organized, next-generation broadband MSO formed by the executive management team from pioneering cable operator Bresnan Communications. Led by President and CEO Jeffrey S.
